Welcome to the Student Ministries at Cargill United Methodist Church. We have a number of ways for youth to become involved at our church and we will continue to develop new activities and grow in new and exciting ways!
Youth Group
Youth Group meets on Sunday evenings from 6:00-7:30pm. We are working on moving to the first floor, so when you are doing your spring cleaning and rummage sales this year, please keep us in mind (if you have questions or donations click here).
Confirmation
Cargill provides education for our youth as they move towards full membership in this church.
Our current class will be confirmed October 2010. The upcoming class will begin in September 2010. We look forward to offering a new confirmation class this fall! Call or email our Christian Education Director, Diane Edson, for more information.
MIssion Projects
The youth at Cargill UMC are committed to missions. Each year we go out on mission trips in order to do good work, build community and share the light of Christ with the world. We are also getting involved in local missions and hope you'll join us right here in Janesville making an impact on our community!
Middle School Mission-Summer 2010
We are offering a mission experience for 6th through 8th graders (exiting these grades). This trip will be travelling to Green Bay, Wisconsin from June 20-25. If you and/or your child(ren) are interested in this experience, please contact Amber Schimke for more details.
High School Mission-Summer 2010
We are offering a mission experience for students entering 9th grade through graduating seniors. We are working with SideKick Missions and heading to Hopkinsville, Kentucky from July 17-24. If you and/or your child(ren) are interested in this experience, please contact Amber Schimke for more details.

CYO Basketball
Each winter we have a boys basketball team that plays regularly against other church teams in Janesville for a full schedule. We plan to start a Frosh-Soph team this fall. If you are interested in joining either team, contact Larry Squire, the coach.
Audio/Visual
Students at Cargill are very involved in our audio/visual ministries at the church and we are always looking for young people who are willing to help in that area. We often provide video services for the Annual Conference, and Convo. If you are interested in helping please contact Stewart Hebel.
